Born in 1983 in Colonia, Uruguay, Martin Coccolo developed an early interest in art, especially comics. After years of being an art assistant, he decided to pursue his own career in the comics industry. Starting with small, virtually unknown independent publishers, he managed to forge a path that would eventually lead him to work for APE Entertainment’s “Helldorado,” a work that earned him a Russ Manning Award nomination for Most Promising Newcomer. He would then go on to work on IDW’s Magic: The Gathering for many issues before being recruited by DC Entertainment to work on Green Lantern and Sinestro alternately. After a long number of projects for a variety of publishers, he would begin working for Marvel in 2021, and would continue to do so to this day on titles such as X-Force, Thor vs Hulk: Banner Of War, and Deadpool. In 2022, he was announced as a Stormbreaker for the 2023 edition of the show. Martin is now the artist for THOR.
