Akihiko Yamashita has enjoyed an extensive career as an animator. Having worked on major series such as Nadia, Escaflowne and Evangelion, he is renowned for his work on Studio Ghibli’s anime. These include Spirited Away, Howl’s Moving Castle, Ponyo on the Cliff by the Sea and Arrietty. More recently, he designed the character design for the film Mary and the Witch’s Flower and worked on key animations for The Boy and The Heron.
