A magical story that captivates from the first page to the last. Absolutely impossible to stop reading. I really loved the story of Oliver who finds a magic stone in his grandparents’ attic and through it first goes on an adventure into another world. Everything that makes a good fantasy story is here: magic, evil, goodness, magical creatures, lovely characters and environmental descriptions. Gismo the cat, the fantastic oak men with their magical oak leaves that are useful for most things, the scumbags that I read about with horror mixed with delight… All this meets Oliver on his journey to the Green Castle. He must rescue King Ziron, whom the evil Vaugo has driven from the castle after petrifying the Queen. A brilliant debut by the author, Ingrid Tosteberg, who has painted a magical world with her words that I want to return to many times. Read the book! A plus also for the terrifying drawings by Andreas Raninger, which add another depth to the story. Read! Read! Read! This is the first book in the Saga of Evlonia. There’ll be more coming! Yippee!
