Cosplay, or “Costume Play,” is all about portraying characters from movies, games, and TV series—and it’s one of the most popular features of Comic Con! Whether you cosplay yourself or just want to be inspired, there’s plenty to experience, from panels and workshops to exciting competitions.
At Comic Con Stockholm, both beginners and experienced cosplayers come together to share creativity, meet guests, and celebrate their favorite characters. Simply admiring all the incredible costumes is worth the visit alone!

cosplay parade
Join our popular cosplay parade, presented together with Swedish Garrison! Meet in the entrance hall approximately 15 minutes before the parade starts. The parade travels through the exhibition hall twice a day and is open to everyone in cosplay. Whether you’re an experienced cosplayer or trying it for the first time, this is the perfect opportunity to show off your creation.
The cosplay parade is one of the most popular highlights at Comic Con Stockholm – a colourful and welcoming celebration of creativity, community and passion.

Cosplay is not consent
Do you feel unsafe or uncomfortable?
No one may touch you, hug you, or photograph you without your consent. If someone behaves in a way that feels uncomfortable, contact a volunteer or staff member immediately.

Am I allowed to photograph people in cosplay?
Many are happy to be photographed – but show respect and always ask first.
Is cosplay only for competitors?
No! Everyone is welcome to cosplay, whether you’re competing or just want to show off your costume.
hat are the rules for weapons, replicas, and props?
- If you bring a weapon, it must comply with Swedish weapons laws, as well as laws regarding knives and other objects.
- If your weapon doesn’t look dangerous to others—such as a replica made of papier-mâché—you don’t need to worry about breaking the rules. Toys for children up to 14 years old, like a simple plastic water gun, are also allowed. Items that clearly cannot be mistaken for real weapons, such as a lightsaber from Star Wars or a phaser from Star Trek, are okay to bring into the exhibition hall.
- Weapon replicas, like airsoft guns, are allowed if they have a safety plug in the barrel and are otherwise clearly harmless. Replicas of knives, swords, or axes are also permitted, but they must not be sharp.
- It is forbidden to have spikes, sharp edges, or other details that could harm people. Extended sword or knife replicas may not be carried around the exhibition hall. However, during cosplay photoshoots or on stage, it is allowed to pose with weapons that are legal under Swedish law, but they should not be drawn in the hall.
Comic Con’s security and organizers have the right to check at any time that your weapons comply with the rules.
Is there a place to change costumes?
Yes, there is a changing room for cosplayers. However, it can get very busy, so try to arrive as dressed as possible.
