As part of Easyfairs’ Act for the Future initiative, we are committed to the Net Zero Carbon Events pledge: to halve our greenhouse gas emissions by 2030 and achieve net-zero emissions by 2050.

Reducing your carbon footprint
through reusable exhibition stands
Our reusable exhibition stand solutions are designed to reduce material consumption, waste and transportation — without compromising on functionality or design.

Reusable components
Our exhibition stands can be assembled, dismantled and reused across multiple events, reducing the need for new materials.
Recyclable materials
We use materials that can be recycled, and any materials that can no longer be reused are recycled.
Reduced transportation
For many events, exhibition stands are stored on-site, eliminating transportation emissions altogether. When transportation is required, multiple stands are consolidated into a single delivery to reduce emissions per stand.
Our key initiatives:
Energy
The venue implements energy-saving measures by using 100% renewable electricity and reducing unnecessary energy consumption. Energy use is carefully managed by controlling lighting, heating and ventilation, heating and air conditioning (HVAC). The venue is also equipped with LED lighting to further improve energy efficiency.
Travel & Accommodation
Easyfairs reduces emissions from travel by selecting preferred accommodation partners based on sustainability criteria. The venue provides bicycle parking and EV charging points nearby. We encourage carpooling to events and recommend using public transport to further reduce our environmental impact.
Shipping & Logistics
We implement a strict waste management and reduction plan and limit the use of plastic at our events. All waste generated is carefully sorted, and we use reusable carpet tiles at our events. In addition, our Smart Badge technology significantly reduces paper consumption for our exhibitors.
Production & Waste

Food & Food Waste
We apply sustainable food sourcing principles across our catering outlets, reduce food waste and donate surplus food to charity. We encourage our suppliers to use portion control to minimise waste, offer vegetarian and vegan options, and do not serve red meat in our lunch restaurants.
Social Responsibility
We strive to be an inclusive team that embraces diversity and provides equal opportunities for all, while placing sustainability at the heart of our events. Our event seminar programmes focus on sustainability topics, and we provide a platform for startups to showcase their groundbreaking innovations.
Exhibitors
Here are some practical tips to help make your participation more sustainable.
Stand Design & Waste
Choose a reusable exhibition stand package from the organiser, or design your own stand so that the structure can be reused multiple times, year after year. Work with your stand builder to make your stand as sustainable as possible. Avoid creating a single-use stand for just one event.
Create reusable signage without dates, using recyclable materials and environmentally friendly inks wherever possible. Use LED lighting and other energy-efficient equipment for your stand, and remember to switch everything off at the end of the day. Try to avoid using carpet, and if you really need it, opt for reusable carpet tiles wherever possible.
If you use conventional carpet, make sure it is recyclable and will actually be recycled.
Travel & Accommodation
Whenever possible, choose public transport or carpool with your colleagues.
Choose a hotel within walking distance and/or one that follows sustainable practices.
Logistics & Transportation
Consolidate your shipments and, where possible, use transport and logistics companies that follow sustainable practices. Choose local suppliers to support the local economy and reduce transportation. Prioritise suppliers with strong environmental and social credentials.
Food & Food Waste
Bring your own reusable water bottle and use our water stations to help us reduce the use of single-use plastics.
If you serve food at your stand, choose locally produced and plant-based options wherever possible, and avoid single-use plastics. Help reduce food waste by ordering only the amount of food you need.
Social Responsibility
Take an active role in the various initiatives and discussions taking place during the event to support sustainable development within your sector.

Practical Tips for Visitors
Here are some practical tips to help make your participation more sustainable.
Whenever possible, walk, cycle or use public transport to get to the event.
If you need to drive, carpool with a colleague or friend!
- Bring your own reusable water bottle and make use of our water stations to help us reduce the use of single-use plastics.
- Use our recycling bins for your waste.
- Use your Smart Badge to access exhibitor information instead of asking for a brochure.
- Choose a hotel within walking distance of the event and/or one that follows sustainable practices.
- Take part in the various sustainability talks and tours taking place during the event!
