frequently asked questions

Do you feel harassed?
No one has the right to touch you, hug you, or take pictures of you without your permission. If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, tell a volunteer.

Want to take a picture?
Ask first!

Together we create a positive and respectful atmosphere where everyone can enjoy their passion for cosplay without fear or discomfort.

Most people are happy to be in the picture, but ask first and be respectful!

Not at all! We encourage our visitors to cosplay, with or without competition.

  • Your weapon must be permitted under the Swedish Weapons Act, and the Knives and Other Dangerous Objects Act.
  • If your weapon does not resemble anything that could be dangerous to others (for example, a replica made of papier mache), you do not need to worry about breaking any of our rules. Items intended as toys for children up to 14 years of age (for example, a one-ton plastic water gun) are approved. Items that cannot be mistaken for a real weapon (e.g. a lightsaber from Star Wars or a phaser from Star Trek) are also allowed in the exhibition hall.
  • Weapon replicas, such as airsoft, are allowed if they have a safety plug in the muzzle and are otherwise clearly harmless.
  • Replicas of knives, swords, axes are okay (these weapons must not be sharp).
  • It is forbidden to bring nails, sharp edges or similar if they can hurt people.

  • It is forbidden to have a drawn sword/knife replica in the exhibition hall. During cosplay photo shoots or on stage, it is allowed to pose with a weapon that is permitted by Swedish law but should not be drawn in the exhibition hall.

Comic Con guards and organizers reserve the right to check at any time that the weapon you are carrying does not violate the rules.

Yes, there is a dedicated cosplay room where you can change. This room can be very crowded and we recommend that you come dressed as much as possible.
