You may recognize him as the coldly calculating Gustavo “Gus” Fring in the acclaimed series Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul. Giancarlo Esposito is an award-winning actor, director, and producer with a long and diverse career in film, television, and theater. His roles as Gustavo “Gus” Fring in Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul have earned him multiple Emmy nominations and a Critics’ Choice Award.
Esposito has appeared in major productions such as The Mandalorian, The Boys, Kaleidoscope, and Godfather of Harlem, and has worked with some of the film industry’s most renowned directors—from Spike Lee to Francis Ford Coppola.
Throughout his career, he has played everything from superhero villains to dramatic leads, and his most recent projects include blockbusters such as Megalopolis, The Electric State, and Captain America: Brave New World (released in 2025). He has also made his mark on Broadway and in the theater, where he also began his career.
