To many, he is best known as the tougher, more action-oriented version of Alfred Pennyworth in the acclaimed series Gotham. Sean Pertwee plays Alfred Pennyworth in the series Gotham. A role in which he brought Batman’s iconic butler to life with a perfect balance of authority, loyalty and human warmth.
Sean Pertwee’s career extends far beyond Gotham City. With roots in British theatre tradition and an impressive breadth in both action, drama and horror, he has appeared in productions such as Dog Soldiers, Event Horizon, Equilibrium and The Musketeers. His characters are often as complex as they are memorable – whether he plays a soldier, a scientist or a mentor.
In addition to his presence in front of the camera, Sean is also a valued voice actor, narrator and producer, known for his distinctive voice and strong storytelling.
